My Story
Finally, I had an answer. After all those years of pain, of doubting myself and my body, I was sat there being given a reason why. It wasn't an answer anyone would have wanted, it was confirmation that my life was going to be hard. Little did I know that it would turn out to be much harder than I ever thought possible.

Emergency surgery, physical abuse, loss of mobility, loss of identity, loss of a marriage. All of these things could quite easily have given me an excuse to curl up in a ball and say no to life. No to adventures, no to helping people and sharing knowledge... after all, I'm a woman who was once almost killed by a banana.

I've cried, I've moped, I've spent many an hour thinking "why me". The thing is though, I'm still here. So are you. It's up to us to decide what the next part of our life will look like. Don't let the bananas win.
